Final Project Proposal 2

For my final project I would like to do a personal portfolio site where I can showcase some of my work. These websites are along the lines of the type of display i woud like for my work, thumbnails that lead you to the project page with more images along with some info on the project itself. I would like the final product to look clean, preferably following the same colors as my blog in order to keep everything consistent, and maybe somehow incorporate my blog into the portfolio site. This project would be an experiment for me, as I don’t really have too much experience building a website (only design) or working with a CMS system other than wordpress, and it relates to my life as I would like to display some of my work other than just emailing pictures, I would like to have a URL for some stuff to be displayed. There are may more websites that inspire me gallery wise than these, but I like the clean aesthetic they have, not too much extra stuff, just the work.

As far as development, It’d probably break down as follows:

Week1: Research some Gallery systems I like, CMS, Flash, Hardcoded?

Week2: Start organizing what projects to display, save out files and start on website.

Week3: Finish website.

Week4: Presentation.

Materials I would be using would be my computer and older projects.

Final Project Proposal 1

For my final project I would like to do a short video revolving around graffiti. These two videos show both styles of video I want to mix together, filming an artists process of painting along with already final products. I would like the final product to look more gritty, but have the same asthetics as these examples. This project would be an experiment for me, but something I would like to do, as I’ve recently been trying to teach myself editing, and it relates to my life as I am heavily involved in the art form as well as many of my closest friends. There are countless amounts of artists that influence me in this media from all parts of the world, among them Ces, Serve, Cope2, Revok, Rime, etc.

As far as development, It’d probably break down as follows:

Week1: Filming footage, and looking through old footage I have filmed.

Week2: Film footage and start editing process.

Week3: Finish extra filming and keep editing.

Week4: Presentation.

Materials I would be using would be old footage, new footage using my video camera and using the videos above and others like it for inspiration.
